2008 г. - начала работать в Краснобаковском Лесном колледже преподавателем английского языка

2014 г. - присвоена высшая квалификацион-ная категория

2019 г. - прошла профессиональную переподготовку на ООО "Инфоурок" по программам "Информатика; теория и методика преподавания в образовательной организации", "Немецкий язык: теория и методика обучения в образовательной организации"

2019 г. - подтвердила высшую квалификационную категорию.

Groundhog Day falls on February 2 in the United States, coinciding with Candlemas. It is a part of popular culture among many Americans and it centers on the idea of the groundhog coming out of its home to “predict” the weather.

Is Groundhog Day a Public Holiday?

Groundhog Day is not a public holiday. It falls on Sunday 2 February in 2020 and most businesses follow regular воскресенье opening hours in the United States.

The groundhog plays an important role on Groundhog Day.

What Do People Do?

Groundhog Day is a popular observance in many parts of the United States. Although some states have in some cases adopted their own groundhogs, the official groundhog, Punxsutawney Phil, lives at Gobbler’s Knob near Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania. The town has attracted thousands of visitors over the years to experience various Groundhog Day events and activities on February 2.

The Punxsutawney Groundhog Club plays an important role in organizing Groundhog Day in the town. Club members, news reporters, locals, and visitors meet at Gobbler’s Knob on February 2 each year to await Phil’s appearance and his weather prediction. Pennsylvania’s governor has been known to attend Groundhog Day ceremonies. Many weather researchers questioned the groundhog’s accuracy in predicting the weather, but some of the groundhog’s fans may not agree.

Public Life

Groundhog Day is an observance but it is not a public holiday in the United States. However, areas around parks and some streets may be busy or congested in towns, such as Punxsutawney, where Groundhog Day events are popular.

Roots in Nature

Thousands of years ago when animalism and nature worship were prevalent, people in the area of Europe now known as Germany believed that the badger had the power to predict the coming of spring. They watched the badger to know when to plant their crops. By the time the first German immigrants settled in Pennsylvania they probably understood that this was not true but the tradition continued.

Unfortunately, there were not many badgers in Pennsylvania so the groundhog was substituted for the badger. Tradition has it that if the groundhog sees its shadow on February 2 it will be frightened by it and will then return to its burrow, indicating that there will be 6 more weeks of winter. If it does not see its shadow, then spring is on the way.

Punxsutawney Phil

Punxsutawney held its first Groundhog Day in the United States in the 1800s. The first official trek to Gobbler's Knob was made on February 2, 1887. It is said that Punxsutawney Phil (the groundhog) was named after King Phillip. He was called Br'er Groundhog prior to being known as Phil. Canada also celebrates Groundhog Day.

The movie “Groundhog Day” from 1993, starring comedian Bill Murray, made Punxsutawney Phil in Pennsylvania famous worldwide. The film's plot added new meaning to the term “Groundhog Day” as something that repeats itself endlessly.

History of World Hello Day

World Hello Day was first created in 1973 in order to show people, especially the people of the Middle East that conflicts can and should be resolved through communication, and not violence. The idea is that clear, honest communication breeds peace. In the 1970s, the conflict between Egypt and Israel was quite severe, and many people began to fear yet another huge war would end up coming of it.

World Hello Day was in fact created as a direct response to the Yom Kippur War that had just finished in October of 1973, during which thousands of both soldiers and innocent civilians were killed. Some soldiers had also been tortured and flat out executed.

The peace discussion at the end of the war was the first time that Arab and Israeli officials met for direct public discussion in 25 years. The concept of World Hello Day was created by Brian McCormack, a Ph.D. Graduate of Arizona State University, and Michael McCormack, a graduate of Harvard. Over the last 42 years since its creation, World Hello Day has been celebrated in 180 countries, as citizens of each of these countries take advantage of this time to express their concerns for world peace.

Thirty-one winners of the Nobel Peace Prize have stated that World Hello Day carries substantial value as an instrument for preserving peace, and as an occasion that makes it possible for anyone in the world, individual, organization or government, to contribute to the process of creating peace.

Высококвалифицированные кадры нужны в любой отрасли производства. Отсутствие таких специалистов становится проблемой для всей экономики государства. Решением этой задачи уже заинтересовались и в органах федеральной власти. Спрос на специалистов технической направленности, которые могут работать со сложным оборудованием на высокотехнологичных производствах, растет с каждым днем, и авторитет средних профессиональных учебных заведений начинает возрождаться.

2 октября 1940 года Президиумом ВС СССР был ратифицирован указ «О государственных трудовых резервах СССР», который разделил все училища на три вида. В школах фабрично-заводского обучения (ФЗО) подготовка велась 6 или 10 месяцев, а в ремесленных и железнодорожных училищах – 2 года. Существовали также специальные ремесленные училища, в которых срок обучения длился от 3-х до 4-х лет, а в художественных – 3 года. Набирали в эти учреждения двумя путями: призывом или по желанию. 2 октября является датой ежегодного празднования Дня профтехобразования.

Ежегодно 5 октября в более 100 странах отмечается Всемирный день учителя, который был учрежден в 1994 году ЮНЕСКО. Этот день — прекрасный повод поблагодарить учителей, педагогов и всех тех, кто связан с образованием.
